Herding cats...

Not been blogging for ages but still very active on the Lepidoptera 'hunting'.

To kick start the blog, a few larval finds from this season:

Wormwood (Cucullia absinthii)

Streamer (Anticlea derivata)

Vapourer (Orgyia antiqua)

Yellow-tail (Euproctis similis)

Brown-tail (Euproctis chrysorrhoea)

Pennants galore

Four Streamer to the garden trap in the past two nights, always nice to see this spring moth.

Catching up with absent friends

Given last year was pretty dismal at the garden trap, there were many moths I would have expected that simply didn't show, thankfully some of these have already put in an appearance this year, including these two, Streamer and Powdered Quaker.






Other recent additions to the garden year list include Agonopterix arenella and Alucita hexadactyla
